I created this wedding cake in Toba Garrett's One Week Wedding Cake Workshop at the Institute of Culinary Education. It is a yellow cake filled with french vanilla buttercream and lemon curd, covered in ivory fondant. All of the white chocolate roses and leaves were designed and handmade entirely by me! I decorated the cake with bead piping along the borders, free-hand drapery, and embroidered flowers.

Charlie's 60th birthday cake pictures a mustached Charlie and his wife, Carole, on a bird-watching excursion. Charlie uses binoculars and Carole focuses her camera on two robins nesting in a tree. They are each wearing shirts representing their individual loyalties to New York baseball rivals, the Mets and Yankees. The cake is composed of vanilla chocolate marble cake with milk chocolate buttercream filling, covered in vanilla buttercream.
The Stabiner family's Thanksgiving cake was comprised of four layers of chocolate cake and old-fashioned vanilla frosting. The cake features basket-weave piping on the sides, topped with handmade autumnal leaves, acorns, pears, pumpkins and granny smith apples made of homemade marzipan.
This is a wedding shower cake for Kim, which incorporated swirls and flowers in the bride's favorite color, and fleur de lis, representative of her hometown, New Orleans. Since the bride is a huge chocolate lover, the cake alternates rich chocolate layers with raspberry buttercream, and is covered in chocolate ganache frosting.

Aya celebrated her 2nd birthday with a Dora the Explorer cake, filled with flowers, trees, ladybugs, bumblebees, and of course Dora's jungle friends who each wore party hats and brought a present for the birthday girl. The cake was a white velvet butter cake filled with strawberry cream and covered in vanilla frosting.

This is a cake for Wade's third birthday, which features all four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They are depicted on a city street surrounding a scary blue monster, from Wade's favorite movie, TMNT, coming out of a manhole. It is a marble cake with chocolate fudge filling and vanilla frosting. The characters, weapons and buildings were all hand-molded from fondant, gum paste, and icing.

This birthday cake for Meghan, aka Bur, is an entirely edible Dorothy Bear and Toto. Dorothy is made from yellow butter cake with chocolate frosting, covered in hand-painted gingham fondant with many buttons, bows, ribbons and, of course, sparkling ruby slippers. Toto is hand-piped with vanilla frosting covering chocolate butter cake, and he sits in a basket decorated with basketweave piping, naturally, and a swirling fondant handle.

This cake was for a baby shower, and the inscription is a play on the recipient's last name (Rattenbury). The ladybugs, snails, bumblebees, glow worms, butterflies, and ducks, made from fondant and royal icing, create a whimsical world surrounding a pea pod. The cake itself is composed of rich chocolate layers filled with vanilla cream and coated in chocolate fudge frosting.
